BCGG is hosting a Composting Class presented by Bert Einseidel
Learn how to create good compost, why it is important for your garden. Bert will talk for 1 hour then we'll head over to the U of C Community Garden to see their compost bins and have a question/discussion period with Bert.
July 14, 7-9 pm, Nosehill Library BCGG Monthly Meeting. Help us move the Brentwood Community Garden forward by sharing your ideas! Bert Einseidel will attend at 8 pm to discuss how BCGG needs to move forward in building their composting bins and the importance of composting teams.
August 3 - 6, 3-6 pm, August 7 1-4 pm Brentwood Community Garden site, 5107 33 St NW. Calgary Urban Youth Worx is sponsoring a local artist who will work with youths 12-17to create murals and eco signage for the Brentwood Community Garden. If you know any youths this age please encourage them to attend and bring their friends. Snacks and beverages supplied daily. This promises to be a fun and creative time!
August 7, 1-4 pm culminates in the unveiling of the murals and signs, a celebration of those involved in these creations as wells as the First Annual BCGG Garden Party. Bring your friends and family for an afternoon of food, fun, demos and more! Watch for posters soon!
