Hi there all you faithfull Brentwood Community Gardening Group Followers!

It is such a beautiful day today that it is easy to believe that spring is not far away. And we all know that spring makes our thoughts turn to gardening: clearing away the winter's debris, preparing the beds so they are ready to welcome the seeds once it is warm enough.

We would really like to encourage people to come forward to help us with the tasks related to getting the community gardening going. The organizing committee has done an extremely good job of setting the foundation for a fantastic communal garden that will serve Brentwood residents in a multitude of ways. We heard yesterday that we are one step closer to obtaining a cash grant for $5000.00. Let's keep our collective fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

We are getting close to Build Days (May 29 & 30) and we need YOU! We need more people willing to commit to the process whether it be to lead the construction group, help with fundraising, volunteer to mentor young or senior gardeners.
